This is good, this way if people really want to know anything at all they can PM the 2 people involved and can get both sides of the story.

HOWEVER.

I request all members to not post replies to this topic on the forum cause any attack to any of these 2 members will result in the post either getting locked or deleted. lets keep it civilised and seeing as how these two gentlemen are willing to PM anyone their side of the story. I love this forum and that's the reason why its important to keep negativity at bay. I understand people have issues and that is life but there always is a time and place to air ones dirty laundry and this is best carried out in PRIVATE.

I just wanted to share my experience with Gulf Coast Discus. I have bought fish from Dan a few times now. He is always helpful and honest. I think one would be a little hard-pressed to find a breeded this honest. Dan answers my calls and questions with patience and consideration(even when I constantly pepper him with questions not even relating to fish he sold me). On top of that he sells his fish for a pretty reasonable price. I plan to buy thirty more fish from Gulf Coast Discus as soon as they are out of quaritine.

wvt9527, Why don't you try talking this out with Dan. He seems to be a very acomindating guy. I'm sure it doesn't make you, Dan, or anyone else in the hobby feel any better to have all this negativity.

Dan has always been friendly in my communications w/him. FWIW, I haven't heard anything negative from other local hobbyists that have visited his place.

Just my 2 cents, but when I purchased 6 fish from Dan, they were great, and when one did not make it through the trip (it looked like the contained was dropped or worse during shipment), he refunded the money with no problem.

Aloha everyone, I have nothing but praise for Dan. He has been a friend since we met. Everytime I needed any help in diagnosing a problem with my discus he was there. If he could not help he told where or whom could. Now it was up to me to take his advice or not.

I recently went and visited Dan and was kindly taken by his family. I never felt so at home. He has a Wonderful wife who is a Great cook and his children will always be in my Heart Aloha Kate, Nathan and Kayla. Dan and his Ohana took my wife and I into ther home and treated us as if we were Royalty.

As for his discus many would say after visiting that Dan knows Quality. He always offers a helping hand as far as the hobby goes and extends himself even futher when needed. I for sure am a Happy customer. You have seen the pics of what I got.

I have also been critisized (sp?) for backing up Dan, well my answer to that is, I am what is referred to as a REAL friend as I am to most on this board.

So last but not least, Brother Dan I will be there for you always as you have been for me. That is a Promise.
