DIY Sump

Hi Guys,

I was wondering what flow rate I should hve got a DIY sump?

I've got a 6ft x 2ft x 2ft tank with a 32"x14"x18" sump.

I was thinking 4 times tank volume per hour through the sump but is this a little unrealistic?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It depends on how you set it up. 4 times isn't unrealistic if you're using artificial media, but if you want other things in your sump (plants maybe) then you may want to go down to 2 or 3.

One minimum and two maximum turnovers per hour is all that I would aim for.
