I will be adding discus to an established tank this weekend. There are currently 3 cory cats in the tank, but I want to add more to help take care of uneaten food. I am going to pick them up tonight and put them in a QT. My question is how long should they stay there? Are they carriers of anything the discus will have a problem with? There are numerous threads here that discuss the length of time to quarantine the discus, but I haven't found anything that addresses adding scavengers.
I would quarantine for the same amount of time you would quarantine a discus. Are they from a LFS? You would hate to loose a nice (relatively expensive discus) due to a $1 - $5 cory

Are they from a LFS?
Yes.
I should have added that the established tank does not currently have discus.

I'd give them a month at least Zelmo. If you have any Discus culls, you can add them to the QT tank with the Corys. If they're ok after a week or two you should be fine.
I have a couple of runts in a QT tank with a group of Rams right now.

If memory serves, I once read some where that Cory's often carry gill flukes. So yes, it would be wise to quarantine and maybe even treat them before placing them in their new home.
It might be prudent to treat the ones you already have for flukes also.
