yah u can, its just when the angels get bigger, they will get more aggresive and are overall usually faster when it comes to grabbing food. so as long as u watch them and make sure ur discus are getting enough food, it should be ok. at the sizes ur listed it will be ok, later on its anybodies guess.

Yes, angels can pass on different things if they are carriers. Angels with discus is a long, ongoing debate. Debates are nothing new in the discus world. Bare bottom or decorated, water changes or no water changes, what should be done with fish that are deemed "culls," and so on.
My personal opinion is that to mix the two, you have to have a good understanding of both fish and their care. I have kept angels for a long time and I admittedly know more about them than discus. I've done this successfully. Others won't recommend it. I would, however, recommend a bigger tank for the angels if you decide not to mix them with the discus. They will quickly outgrow your 10 gallon. How many angels do you have?

Em,
If you are worried about adding your angels with your discus and aren't sure what to do, i suggest lightening your load in your 10 gallon. As fast as they grow those conditions (which are already not ideal) will be even worse in a few months.
How long have you had your discus?? How long have you had the angels? If you do decide to add the angels, you would QT for at least 4 weeks. But again, those conditions will get bad pretty fast!

How is your tank set up? Maybe a seperator between the angels and the discus until you get another tank. The same way we do it sometimes when we dont want a pair being disturbed or to seperate 2 pairs in one tank. Just an idea, that way there is no fight for food and limited direct contact.
