Hi everyone,

Some of you may remember that a long time ago, before the board software changed, we had Country Flags that showed up in our profiles. Well, they are back. You can see mine to the left of this post. It displays a small flag under your name and info to let people know where you're from.

You can add your flag to your profile by clicking on USER CP at the top of the forum (in the blue menu bar), then going to "Edit Profile" and selecting your country from the drop-down list at the bottom of the page. Then click the "Save Changes" button and you're done.

You will probably end up only seeing a few different flags mostly USA. Is there a way you can add state flags? Then you would see a huge variety,,just an idea,,i have no idea of the difficulty involved.

Hey Ryan, is there a way to change your ID name? I am thinking I am tired of Kindredspirit....but then people might not know who I am...hmm....might be a good thing...lol!

Mike,

The idea is to not get real detailed. You would be surprised at the diversity of the members here. There are an equal number of Canadian members on the board, as well as a lot of members from Australia, the UK, and certain places in Asia. When we did this before, we had a lot of different countries represented.

You could do state flags as well, but I think that's getting too detailed. Most people here wouldn't recognize, say, the Florida state flag, whereas they will see the American flag and know right away where you're at. Same with most other countries.

Marie,

I could change your username for you, but the board only allows you to change it once and you cannot switch back. This software doesn't allow you to change your own name.

Really cool idea, Ryan! It looks great too, on everyone's front page here...

Except I do not really know my flags....so now, It will bug me if I do not know what country a certain flag represents....

Marie,
If you drag your pointer over the Flag, it'll tell you what country it's from.
