Hi Kelly,

There are lots of posts here regarding the subject.

Rams are a very good tankmate for discus. They share similar water parameter requirements and rams tend to be pretty passive. The two do well together.

Make sure you quarantine all new fish before introducing them to one another.

Hi - I agree with Ryan in that I think it'll be ok too. I've had rams with discus in a 55g and they just seemed to ignore each other. Although when either the rams/discus pair up and decide to breed then they'll become a little more aggressive. JMO.

Hope this helps,

Kenny

Rams are great tankmates if you must. I am refering to Blue and Gold Rams. I've never kept Bolivian Rams. They perfer the same high water temp as discus. In their native habitat of the SA savannahs the wtare temp often reaches 95-100F. They'll eat the same food, including beefheart.

I have had Angels with my discus for years, but the angel do "hog" the food

I introduce German Blue Rams into my tank and almost lost all my Discus, I didnt quarantine the rams, and they got the discus sick.
