I'm curious of the different crosses between wilds and domestics that everyone has been able to do.
Also how did the fry color up?

Pics would be great of the parents and the fry:)

Thanks
Ardan

Jack gave me some Wild Green x BD's, via Beth. Sorry, no pics, but they looked really nice. Kind of a semi-solid blue body with thick and even striations through out the face and head.

I was very over-stocked at the time and gave them to a kid who works at a local fish shop. They were his first discus. I heard they paired up for him. Never heard from the little Ba***rd again

This is a heckel cross blue diamond turk. All have faint heckel bars, I currently am using this fish on a brown female and have his sister with a wild male heckel, be intersting to see if they fry have better heckel bars. Ken

Thanks for posting the pic Ken. Do the heckels need special water conditions to breed with a domestic? (heard heckels are picky about water if you want them to breed):)

Al, those are some awesome discus. :) They look great! You don't have any of those, not even the pair?

Thanks for sharing

But you didn't... you sent some to FL and now they're making babies for my friend (or at least they were the last time I checked on them).

The mom (blue SS) was one of my favorite fish you ever posted. Wish I could have a tankful of fish that looked as nice as her.
