I had my drift wood bowling for 3 hours. But I semlt it and it smells like a canadian tree. is that ok with discus?

Its a huge pic and I plucked it outta the garden because it wasn't suring any purpose. So i boilded it. Did i do it long enough?

There also the question of how do i tie it down. I put 2 pices of sleigh in and around it and there holding it down.

If you boiled it for 3 hours, you must've killed anything that boiling will kill. If it smells like wook, that's ok.. if it smells rotten, then throw it away. Some of the pieces that are sold are bolted to slate so if you have a drill that'll do the trick you might try this using stainless steel screws..

I put sleight in on both sides to hold it down. but since I put it in 3 fish are hiding around it. I hate how they are still trying to hide its been a month.

That is a really nice piece, you sure have a tall tank.

I've found the more things they have to hide behind... the more they'll hide.. instinctual I think  Nice piece of wood though, and looks like some pretty little fish too :)

Give them time... get them to associate you with food and they'll come out for you.

Don't forget, detritus will tend to collect under the wood and stones, so you have to pay special attention to that area when cleaning
