Hi, first time to this forum.

This is one of my turq babies, a 1 y/o male. Notice the tail like structure at the end of the dorsal fin. I've notice that other younger ones, like the one at the background are also growing such structure not present in other discus I own. Is this normal? or is it a defect. I find it very attractive.

I have heard that the trailer is significant in determining Male. I have now also recently heard people say that females have it too?

The trailing fin is more common in males than females, but I've had females with them--surprised me a bunch the first time I saw one with the fins laying eggs, I must say.

I'll bet, lol. I have one now with trailer and he/she has had it since a very young age. Male? If not, she probably doesnt appreciate her name (sampson). LMAO.
