This heavy Heckel Barred Alenquer discus is attempting to pair with the wild caught Barred Blue in the background. They are both 5 inches.

If you mean where did I get it.....from an importer who lives close to me, Ken.
This particular discus was caught in the Alenquer area a few months ago.

Hes really pretty. You said "attempting" to pair.. is the blue not showing interest?

What a gorgeous fish!..I hope they do pair up for you and spawn. Would be some awesome fry from them I'm sure...Best of luck with them!!

Hi Amber,
It is a 75g community tank. After the bond is stronger and they spawn a couple times, I will move them to a private tank.
They were both cleaning a spot on the artificial root yesterday.
When I said "attempting", I should have said "prespawning activity".
