I [had] a really nice carpet of Dwarf Hairgrass. That was untill I got discus, they pick the food from the grass and pull it up bit by bit. It is really depressing to see a steller patch of 4ftx10" patch of Dwarf Hairgrass dissipear in the course of a couple months.

What are some good fore-ground plants that the discus will not wreck, and will be nice and thick.

Stooooooopid fish!

dwarf sag is a good one. you could try micro sword as well but they might go after it since they went after your hairgrass

If you get desperate, and don't mind trimming the bottom of your tank a bunch, wisteria (hygrophila difformis) works very well. It grows across the bottom in a thick matt in a high light tank with CO2. The Discus don't bother it, and it grows so thick that food doesn't get down into it. I understand that it can't be mailed in many states because it is a noxious weed.

kinda off topic, but you fish look bloated IMO.
