New 75 gallon planted discus setup

i talked in my old thread of my 55 it coming to an end to make room for a 75 well i spent all sunday doing that and here are the final results.

tank - AGA 75 Gallon. 48x18x20
lighting - 2x Coralife T5 @ 56 watts, 2x GE Aquarays @ 20 watts, total 152 watts
Substrate - 75 pounds flouirte, couple pounds of pea gravel left over from 55
Filter - 2x Magnum HOT
Heater - 250 watt Stealth @ 84*
Moonlights - 6x Commerical DIY LEDs
PLants:
jungle val
anubius nana
alt. reneikii
cardinal plant
crypt. wenditti ( green, red, bronze )
hygro. corybosa stricta
hairgrass ( was groiwing in with one of the crypts i seperated/planted )
tiger lotus
ludwigia repens

Fish:
2x turquoise discus
1x heckel
2x pigeon blood
6x bronze cories
1x SAE
3x Bleeding hearts
1x glo lite, silver tip, red phantom
1x rubber lipped pleco
1x twig cat ( farowella acus )
1x clown loach

fish to be added
couple more heckels
12-15 rummy noses
20-30 cardinal tetras

Looking good so far, when it all gfrows in it should look great, keep an eye out for algae but hopefully that won't be too major a prob.

On the fish front I'd be tempted to add another clown, they do better in small groups and tend to be less bothersome to other fish that way. I love cardinals so they always get the thumbs up from me! I'm not a fan of the SAE's though. Love the night light though.

well the SAE has been there FOREVER. prolley getting close to 4 years old. the clown loach used to be in a group but they all kept dieing so i was left with one. him and the SAE are buddies though and they follow each other around. and i love the cardinals too so i may get closer to 30-40. hehe. well heres a money shot from today.

I noticed some of your roots are exposed, are you supposed to plant plants with roots exposed or are you supposed to bury them like you would a plant on land?

no those roots i didnt get quite burried. they should be all under water but its a pain to plant them sometimes. they will fall down to the gravel as time goes though

Your tanks looks good. Maybe get some fast growing bunched plants like some water wisteria. It grows really well. And if you want more growth, you're going to want more than just a little over 2 wpg. Your going to want about 3 or 4 wpg.

HA! good call there. i didnt even notice that. they should be under the substarte. :P

thanks for the comments, it does look huge. im still not even used to it. just wait til i start packing it full of fish. hehe. might be bringing some home tonight

not yet on this tank. i may be getting a pressurized setup later in the year though
