do u guys have any ideas for a diy background for my 100 gallon amazon biotop? i was thinking on either a 3d rock background or a 3d cork bark background that would be placed inside the tank. but i dont know how to go about doing this. ideas????

Here are some links for diy back grounds for rock formations.. I just completed one myself for my 100 G tank.

Here's a pic of the final product. I fisnished curing it and I have one bala shark in it now as my guinea pig.

Only thing I would suggest, is not to make it too dark. Discus will tend to try to camouflage themselves and any sooting will be exaggerated.

I have just ripped one out of a tank I bought for this reason

That's true..it must have been a $#%#$% to tear out.. sorry bro.. That's why I went with the light tera cotta color. A lot of the DIY's had brown/black as their color of choice.
