I got my little one some zucchine.. my question.. I heard a long time ago that you have to boil it before feeding it... is this true? Or can I just cut it and attach it to my rock and stick it in there?
Thanks!

I heard you can soften it in the microwave for a few seconds, I had a friend that used to do that insteadt of boiling

Hi Amber, I usually zap it in the microwave for 10-20 seconds. Another favourite is sweet potato, cucumber, green beans (I used the canned beans, rinse well and drop a few in), I also feed algae wafers or algae pellets, too.

I never zap it or cook it. SCRUB WELL to remove any chemicals which may have been sprayed on it, cut a section, attach to floor or wall with a vegi clip and they will be all over it. Remove it (if there is anything left) after about 24 hours. That's it. I use zuchini as a regular part of the diet when growing out babies and they do very well.
Best regards

I use frozen zuchinni slices. I thaw them in a small dish with water, in the microwave for 45-60 seconds, which also par boils them a bit. If you do this, the slice sink and you don't need to weight them down with anything. Plecos and otos love it.
