Had to thin the jungle out for more swimming room. Took a bucket of plants out, does it look OK?

DC,
The tank looks awesome! A little "jungley" (is that a word?) though, or is that what you wanted? What is the plant that looks to be a Rotala or Ludwigia in the mid-ground? I like the two standing pieces of driftwood on the right set off by the laying down one on the left.

Larry,

Here is a before pic:

The 10 Discus have more than doubled in size since then and the plants grew into a thick jungle. When they were smaller they enjoyed having the cover. Now it appears they want more swimming room, they would uproot plants all week and I would replant them every weekend, they win.....DC

DC, persistent little beggars aren't they?? I quite like what you've done there. There is a good sense of space and structure, but without being too formal. Yeah, real nice, the hyacinth looks good too!:)

Really nice looking tank, I would love to have a planted like that. I think your choice of discus really suits the tank that you have created. Good luck.

DC,
Yeah I see what you mean about the "before" growth :-) Very nice! btw I forgot to say in the first post, I absolutely LOVE your fish, more and more I am leaning back towards "wilds" and especially aequifasciata.

DC, Love the Heckels. Like the wood lots, if it was me I would lose some of the plants in the middle or to one side, but that's just me. Its still a great 'scape. Good job.

I left enough room to scrape the algae, the 10 Geophagus Steindachneri and 11 Corydoras Sterbai take care of the bottom for me....DC

LOL, I've already thrown more plants in there. I decided to go with S.A. native plants only.......DCl
