but not the immediate family I guess ~ for the most part the discus do not venture to the other end of the tank ~ I need a fish Psychologist man!

LOL Marie - looks like those rams are positioning themselves nicely lol and are getting ready to "gang up" on the BSS in the 2nd pic...you better watch out for him. :-) This time it's you who should consider framing that photo!

Hmmmmmmmmm all of my Rams are afraid of the discus, but the Rams have been in the tank and the discus are pretty much adults and were just added. The Rams still spawn regularly but they do NOT chase the discus around. btw the discus pretty much just ignore the Rams.

Yeah they were completely indifferent to each other as well ~ kinda boring ya know? But NOW ~ quite the opposite!

Great pics Marie! They are gorgeous. Ok.. In that second pic I believe where there are 6 together.. I see two females and 4 males. Have you found any eggs yet?

Are these "Bolivian" Rams in these photos? I just bought a pair of these and that's what they called them at the LFS. They also had some "German" Rams. They were twice the price, and really small, so I didn't buy them. (How could a Ram be German!?!?)

I have 2 stunted Discus in a 25 gallon tank and so far the 2 Rams are good tank mates. The 2 Discus that were bullied in my main Discus tank are the in charge of this tank but no major scuffles so far.

The Rams in these pics have much more colour than mine, but the colour is getting deeper and deeper on my young fish every week. I hope they have as much blue come out on them as these ones do! (Or are these what I've heard called "Blue" Rams?)

Bolivian Rams are Mikrogeophagus altispinosa, Blue Rams are Mikrogeophagus ramirezi. M altispinosa are a bit hardier but not quite as colorful. Both are good choices for a discus aquarium.
