Ok I need some advice I live on a 3rd floor apartment and right now I have 2 55gl tanks almost side by side(about a ruler apart). Well my other half wants to get a 125gl and sell the other two. My question to all of you is if this is a good idea or should we stick with the two we have know? Would a 125gl be too much for a 3rd floor apartment?

I think it was built in the 70's or 80's my husband pulled up the carpet and said there was cement and (i think I know what you mean by inside or outside wall ) I think inside wall (I would be nocking on my neighbors wall basicly) hope this helps.

If the floor is cement then not a problem at all....if you're knocking on your neighbors wall then that would be a fire wall and would be a bearing wall and considered an outside wall....an inside wall is a wall between rooms and the floor there will have no strenght.

So it would be ok where the others are at right now basicly my neighbors wall aslo?

You should be fine...you're not talking all that much more weight.....what I would do if the floors are wooded is put several peices of 3/4'' plywood, below the tank. This would help distribute the weight of the tank across more joists, instead of all of it being on the 4 leg points
