I am new to the world of internet and also the planted tank. Istarted my 55 gal. tank again after 20 yrs . Its been running for 6 months and was doing good till a sudden spike in nitrates. I lost at least 8 fish . plants are not doing well...its a 55 gal that i put various plants in...I am getting ready to build my own canopy to cover this tank . Ihave seen some DIY plans but I cant remember the web sites to go to for plans. Iplan on putting in 4 t8 40wat bulbs and having a front flap to have access to feed etc...Is anyone out there who can help me with some plans or layouts?
