Meet Dino...

I went to Petco today to see what the tanks looked like for $1 a gallon. Well my store only had 10 & 20 gallons :( I turned around and saw Dino in that tiny little tank and said to Joy (manager) to please bag up Dino. I had to save him from this place. She bagged him up and I headed for PetsMart to see what they had cause I knew they would price match Petco LMAO!!

Dino and I arrived and low and behold they price matched the tank ad. I purchased a 29 gallon tank for $29, which at Petsmart includes a hood but not at Petco! The setup was priced at $72.99 and I walked out with it for $30.74.

When I got home I took Dino out of the bag and measured him. He is 12 and a quarter long WITHOUT his tail, so he has to be about 13 - 13.5 inches long :D He is so very happy swimming in my tank that he ate 5 nightcrawlers 10 minutes after going in the tank -

Well Petsmart does not sell tanks only. Their tanks all come with hoods and my ad doesn't say the "hood not included" just no boxed setups :D

I had one of those guys years ago, but he was not albino. I like your albino one better, though. I think it was called a lung fish or something? Not sure. It was pretty cool, I liked him. Dino is an excellent name for him - it looks prehistoric.

They call them dinosaur eels in CT but they also have the latin name too. I could not leave him in a tank that was only as long as his body :(

He is soo happy in my tank and waits for me cause I have been giving him great goodies, ok the goodies are earthworms from my leaf pile but he takes them right out of my hand already ;) The smaller ones do not know what to do with the big worms yet.

I found out tonight that my dragon eel goes nuts for earthworms :) ;)

There are only discus in the tank vause I have 3 albino young ones in there too!

I am thinking from the responses that Amber has a secret and not telling Marie? Is this true? What's the secret LOL! Amber you can tell me LOL! ;)
