just bought a 1.5" red and white discus

someone told me that it's stunted.

could u guys please have a look at this little thing?

any advice is welcome

The eyes might be slightly large but at this young age ........... if you pump the food at it (4 to 6 times a day) and plenty of WC's ........... it should grow out to be a nice fish ........... from what i can tell from the pics.

The eyes do look slightly large, but not bad. Also the dorsal fin is pretty tall and steep. As Cage said, feed alot of good food and plenty of large frequent WC's will get it back on track.

well..to get it to grow.....youd have to have it in a barebottom tank....and daily wcs and good food. he wont grow in that tank . the blue one looks a bit stunted though.

I agree it was the discus i noticed first as possibly being stunted. I recently purchased a discus similar to your red/white for $5.00 which was slighty stunted after two weeks and a bit the fish looks much better but agreed a bare bottom tank would help out alot save the sand/plant setup for a show tank and have a couple 20 gallon grow out tanks to house two/three discus each my advice it has worked for me.
