I have a 90g going with two fluval 404s on it. One ac110 would probably be enough, but i always like to over filter. I use 2 250w heaters. But one is kept at only 75 degrees as a backup if the first one fails.

I like sponge filters for filtration in all my tanks, simple and easy to clean! Hydro sponges or azoo sponges

For my 90 I started with one AC110 and a Filstar XP3. I also had 2- Visitherm Stealth 250W heaters.

Stopping one of the heaters caused my temps to drop 10 degrees. Not running the canister for a few hours while I cleaned it caused my water to get dirty. (floating stuff from the substrate when the discus kicked it up.)

I would use 2 of each.

One AC 110 would probably be fine. Wouldn't hurt to add a couple o sponge filters - always good to have an extra cycled filter on hand . . .
