This is a Fire Red X Silver Pigeon, both pigeon derivative, but I look at it as a cross which promotes hybrid vigor. The one in the picture is 3 inches and already show signs of nice shape and coloring.
They went free swimming on the 4th of July 06. I call them my Silver Firecrackers.:whip:

This are offspring from the one in your current avatar right? Nice, I'm really curious as to how they will turn out as adults and if you will cross them back to either Silver pigeon or fire red
Could you elaborate want you meant by a cross that promotes hybrid vigor.

Not a PB fan, personally, but that 1st pic sure looks like it's going to be a really nice discus. I really like it.

I'd like to see a progression of photos until it's an adult. I think the colors on this one will be nice!!

Lee,
I am liking that discus, one morning you'll wake up and there will be a sign in the tank saying "gone to Frank's house for a few years"
LOL! ;)

Hi Frank,
I like that one also and probably will keep 10 to 20 from this spawn. Just got lucky on the cross. I had to add two more 55g tanks to my drip system for grow out tanks. I think my hobby is out of control....again.:cheesy:
take care,
Lee
