Hi,
i am wondering what is the ideal GPH rate for a discus thank.
I am thinking about buying a pentair quite one. either a 780 gph or 1000 gph. I think 1000 might be a little too much for a discus tank.
Please advise,
Also, has anyone used Pentair quite one, if so how good is it?
Thank you,
Amol

Not sure why you want a pump. If its for running a filter you take the size of the tank multiply that by four that will tell you how big a pump to get (you will need a spray bar). If it's for moving water for a water change then i'd go for the big one..you can always put a valve on it to slow it down.

No I am looking to build a sump.
I dont want to cause turbulance in the water.

You should use a spray bar to stop turbulance. You will need a pump that will pump four times as much water then there is in the tank. All the water in the tank needs to go accross the Bio-filter four times an hour. Any slower then that the bacteria will just want to grow in the tank and not do to good in the filter.
