Hi Amber & Marie,

First allow me to express my greatest thanks to you two wonderful people for always being there; for always keeping us in your prayers; for always being there when I was looking for someone to talk to; for sending me this very meaningful gift at this time which means so much more to me than you'll ever know; and lastly...for just being my great friends.

I just played this music box to my mom(she was in pain) when she woke up momentarily I think it has a calming effect on her...I told mom it was from you Amber & Marie and she made sure I would thank you 2 on behalf of her.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart AmberC & MarieR. It was my honor getting to know you.

Most Sincerely,
Kenny

At first I thought someone has sent me a box of discus; turned out it was a beautiful gift named "Your Worry Box" from 2 of my great friends.

Your Worry Box 3 (we love the angels)

YOUR WORRY BOX

"This box is for your worries.
The aches within your heart.
A place to tuck away your fears,
Where love and hope can start.
So keep this box beside you,
And know how much they care,
For when you need peace and joy,
The angels will be there."

I'm leaving this music box next to mom's bed. I believe the angels will watch out for her. Earlier mom told me "I'm sorry for I'm so sick I used to be so strong" and I told mom:

"You are still a very strong person you were just trapped in a sick body...it is not your fault."

Again thank you truly Amber & Marie. Take care my two good friends.

So ~ this was all the calls last night? You scared the crap out of me Kenny ~ Don't do that! I worked late and I have a cold:(

I am glad you like this truly special gift babe ~ but in all honestly I must thank Amber for incl me in such a great plan ~ I had the hard task of extracting your address ~ and now I have a hit out on me:bandana:

I do hope that you see that proverbial light at the end of the tunnel ~ you know that Mom does ~ not that you need improvement in any way Kenny...this will change you and make you stronger ~

Make it thru this babe and there is nothing you can not do ~ ask me how I know ~

You know, after reading the above I was heading to the next thread. Then something told me to tell you both, since I personally do not know you both, that was a great thing both did and I am sure it is from the heart.

That is the nicest thing I have ever seen ;) To be honest, I have never heard of a worry box before. I am so glad that they sent it and that it bought comfort to your Mom. She is in my prayers Kenny and so are you and your family.

Kenny,

I'm so very sorry to hear about your mom passing away. Hearing this news struck a cord with me as my mom passed away only a couple of years ago herself due to cancer. My thoughts and prayers are with you!! Take care of yourself.

I just wanted to make a general statement and say that this thread is over 2 years old. I say this because I feel this may be a sensitive subject...I know it would be for me if I posted. Some of you that recently posted may not have seen the dates. Not that what they said in the recent posts doesn't still apply...just making a general observation. Take care all, especially you Kenny!

Bryan, thanks so much for the clarifications my friend, really appreciated it!

Yes my mom passed away peacefully at home 2 years ago after battling her lung cancer for 3+ yrs....it was the worst time of my(and my families') lives but we have come to accept the fact that dying is part of life and that she's at total peace now with no more suffering. I think knowing that in our heart we became much stronger and we no longer are afraid to talk about mom...we as a family instead of lingering on the difficult times, like to concentrate on remembering the wonderful times we had with her(we were so blessed!)!:) Thanks so much Bryan yes this was indeed an old thread but I'm 110% sure my good friends here Dave, Josh, Darrell and Mike was just showing their care to me and my family to which we are very grateful for!

Thank you all so much! I wish you all and your family the very best in all you do. Do not forget to keep smiling guys!;):)

Thanks,
Kenny

This is a very sweet story. Friends & family warms my heart. I love my mommy...Don't know what I would do if I lost her. Almost did about 6 years ago, and cherish every second I have with her now. Everyone, God bless.

I have seen this thread before, its an old one. but that was very nice of Amber and Marie to do that for you. I know just how it feels bro. I lost my dad a few years back to cancer, after years of battling and suffering. sometimes I feel like I lost him at the worst time too, I was 18 years old, right out of high school...I can tell you I became a man quiiick after that. It can be really tuff, but just like you say, you gotta remember the good times, and never dwell on it. they are in better places now, without suffering.

take care everyone, and god bless. please try and remember to never take your close ones for granted. you never know when you wont have them anymore. life is a blessing and should be treated as such.

take care all you great Simply folks:o ...not trying to drag down the mood, just relating.
