Here is a few pics with timeline of some discus that I have raised.

these were acquired from a friend of mine so the first few pics (the best one) are form him (Walter Level) so don't go on crongratulating me for these.

I feel its important to post the parents since they are from 2 different types and so will give a mix of a few thing. I only wish that I had taken more fry on my wing since these 15 are the only survivors of that cross, Walter has lost all the others including the female.

So here we go:

male

5 months

interestingly most of them are showing coloring of the male, and these are bigger, they also have the same defect in the stress bar than the male (upper rear stress bar). Other are showing more metalic blue and are smaller fish, like the female. They also show less stress bars, some of them none (exept eye and tail) and other half bars.

Funniest thing, these fish were purchased form Walter Level at age 4 weeks, I just sold him a few of them back at age 9 months... look what happen.

I'm also surprised that they could spawn so young??

few pics of other that I sold to a friend (balha) there getting pretty good in size and color

they are 9 month and a half and the bigest is like 4.5"

We can clearly see the traits based on genetic inheritance from the male vs the female.
