Wow, I remember that thread. It was a horror... that's some "yellow" fish you have there. Beautiful! :D

Nice fish... what do you feed it?

If you are feeding food that has color enhancers in it a yellow will tend to get some orangish/red on it.

well colourbites did it....thats the problem with everyone wanting a nice yellow fish. i have people asking me to get them some all the time. i say..well it will turn orange ...most likely.
but..that fish really is a looker..and you did a great job raising it . people would go wild over those if someone was selling a tank full. so enjoy him..or her.
my friend rod..and white fish..they turned yellowish orangish with colourbits.
not sure if any fish foods are exmept from colouring in them.

My only regret is that I did not ordered a full tank of this.

Francois,
I agree with April, regardless of it's color that is a very good looking discus, you did an excellent job with it.

I originally read the thread wrong. But the colorbits will turn the fish a different color than what it was sold as. I think it was sold to you as the wrong strain. JMO

From the first picture, it certainly looks more of a red fish then a yellow with the reddish finage. IMO, its actually a red fish and the colourbits brings out the colour.
