a LFS near me has several tanks full of 2.5" stendker discus. In one tank are several red scribble and all of there boddies appear to be clear but there is a black line running through the eye and down the head. is this a sign of stress and should be avoided or are these fish fine.

They also have some marlboro reds with a decent amount of peppering on the face, is that normal and will go away or should this hole shop be avoided.

seeing as I live so close to choice aquarium and Cary Strong thats where my initial purchase will be made but I was just wondering about these fish. thanks guys

The Scribbles are as they should be, the Marlboroughs however are a different story. IME peppering only gets worse with age.

Agree with Larry. If you live close to Cary then the decision is easy imo :D
