Ya, know, I just thought...of course people do, as they have auto - feeders, right?
I have to say I have never fed my discus and left the house...but I am now;)
I always worried about bloat...I suppose!

I do that if it is longer than few days. Otherwise, they should be OK for a day or two without food.
I use auto feeder for my vacation days. The longest was about 5 weeks, without WCs too. I would not do that if I have any othe options.

Just set your auto feeder to the amount you want dropped into the tank and you will be good to go. What I do is set it to the amount I want and let it run for a few days before I go to make sure it isn't dropping too much and when I am happy with it I could leave and not have to worry about it.

I have used it for quite a while now with no problems. does a great job and the fish are eating and doing well

My morning feeding usually consists of something like bloodworms. I've never known them to cause bloat in my fish, so I don't worry too much about them.
If my fish get flake, it's usually as a snack when I'm around. I don't feed pellets or bits, though I will probably start soon to replace the flake.

Thanks, Guys! I guess I should have been more specific even though replies were very helpful....
....I would just be leaving to work....not Europe or anything:(
Usually I am up early and wake them and they eat before I leave, but this morning I was up early and they were so hungry!.....but I had to leave super early....
I decided to be late and fed them:D!

Relax, I do it every day, Marie--toss in the usual amount of FBW into the tanks, go to work, come home and feed right away. Then I feed once more later in the evening. Never had a problem.
