keeping discus in a 50 gallon

hey guys, my orignal plan was to keep 6 discus in a 55g tank (48"x13") Wondering if i could keep the same 6 discus in a 50 gallon tanks which is only 36" long?

Yes, I have kept and grown 7 discus in a 50 gallon 36 by 18 by 18high.

Just do plenty of wc's:) ( I did 50 % every day) and wiped the tank inside often.

what about a 46 bow?

A 56 gallon "column" tank. I dont know on this one, its only 30"
