all three of these tanks were in this years XL category for the AGAs
annual aquascape contest. all 3 of these tanks feature discus as thier primary fish. one, imo, is successful at both being an aquascape and a discus tank. i consider these to be good visual examples of discus aquascape dos and donts.

Only Scolley's tank allows for discus to play in the sand the way they like, allows for plenty of swimming area and sticks with all one Discus color theme; blue.
As a matter of personal taste, I always think choosing a group of one type of discus is the most pleasing way to display them.

I do think tank #2's moss wall is an enviable accomplishment but otherwise has all the naturalness as an English formal garden. Fine if that is how you like to garden but the style doesn't lend itself well to aquatic gardening.

Tank #3 would make a better Tetra tank than discus display tank.
It is a nice design but not for Discus.
