It's a White Butterfly. A strain that loses it's juvinile markings to become a solid white. It is supposed to do that. Didn't the person you bought it from tell you that?

That's a sure fire sign that your fish has been rubbing against the sponge filter. Your supposed to let the paint dry before dropping the fishy in the tank. :D

You need to use the quick dry acrylics, those enamels take forever to dry.
Metfan581, You can still send him to me and I can get out the ol airbrush and see if we can get his colors back to what they were.

Just don't do it here in OKC, they'll confiscate your fish for cruelty :D

I agree. It's a very nice White Butterfly, so metfan gets the last laugh.

I would like to thank you metfan for posting these pictures. Not having been lucky enough to own a White Butterfly myself I was unaware the transformation was so stark. Could you tell me please the approximate size of the fish in the two pictures? It is a beauty to be sure.

I do not remember how big he was when I bought him in December 06. He is about 5 in now though.

Thanks for the compliments =]
