Newbie questions

Does your aggressive juvies turns out to be male? Also, do most of males are larger than female? Just curious. I'm growing 5 juvies in bb 60 gal tank. My first discus and I have them for a month now.

IMO The males will grow bigger provided all things are equal but there will be no difference while they are Juvies. As far as aggression goes.... if sex is playing a part at all, which I doubt, then it may well be the females that are most aggressive.

This is one of those questions that really doesn't have a right or wrong answer. I have had females that are bigger than males as well as males bigger than females. I also had the same thing with aggression as well. By the way welcome to Simply.

Hi all,
I have really newbie question to which I couldn’t find the answer so far.
People are always talking about what feed to discus, and nobody is asking HOW.
That is my question: How should I feed my discus? Should I just put flakes, bits or frozen cubes float in the water or what? Do you people use any special devices to deliver food to fish?

Any info will be greatly appreciated.

I just place the food into the tank and let it sink to the bottom and my discus eat it off the bottom.
