I currently have a regular lighthood with a single T5 added on my glass top (75 gallon), but I can't seem to cover the entire tank and when the discus swim in front, their colors don't come out, so I would like to know which lighthood would cover the entire tank.
Not quite sure what you meant by covering the entire top, but I have a dual strip T5 light made by Coralife and it provides decent lighting for my 75 with a glass top. It's 48 inches - so if you have a single strip, maybe add another? 2 bulbs with different spectrums a 6500K and a 10000K - I may replace the 10000K with maybe an 18000K down the road.

Can you tell me the benefits of 18000k and 6500k?
Thanks.

6500k bulbs are geared towards plant growth, 18000k enhances colours. To me, it's a personal preference...it's also what the light strip came equipped with.

I'm using 10 000k and the plant seem to be growing well.
