I picked up 4 Adults last Sunday, They have lived their entire lives in a BB tank with primo RO being feed FBW and tetra bits.

I have them in a 90 gallon Planted with Angles, rainbows, cory's,BN

Issue id they will not eat. They are out and about fighting slashing around acting like they want some food but are scared at the sight of me and will not even accept Mystic Shrimp and I have never had a fish turn those down.

they will watch the other fish eat and but will not attempt to eat themselves could they be so used to eating off the bottom of a BB that they have no idea how else to eat? These guys are 6 to 8 inches biggest Angel is the size of a Quarter.

I have 5 small baby Discus in there size of a Silver dollar and they are eating like mad. They ahve no issues getting the rest of the non Discus out of the way when the food arrives they rush the glass and will attack my hand when doing Water changes. 30% a day

Acclimating adults to new surroundings and feeding habits is much different to juvies and they can choose not to eat vigorously for much longer than a week. I often find they can resist even the most tempting food when I am around, but can subsist on foraging for the leftovers after I've left the room.
If they are active to the point of scrapping with each other then you dont have to be concerned at this stage.

Sorry to hear that. How do your water conditions compare with what they had been in previously?

Give them time. Adults generally takes longer to get acclimated to thier new sorroundings and can go a long time without eating.

They came from RO and aged water. I do not have a RO system and neither do I have a BB tank. I truly believe it is related to water quality like everything else with discus. The remaining 3 and the rest of the tank look fine but I have noticed they do not appreciate the water changes they act like they are not getting enough air "At the water line half the day" I need to test for copper in my water. i have never had issue until I acquired these adults.

Gasping for air is a sign of chlorine in the water. Changing water parameters does affect them somewhat but they should not be gasping for air after a waterchange.

Also another thing they were accoustomed to being in a discus only tank. Now you have other species which they are not use to.

Have you treated the other species for parasites to ensure not passing them to the new adults?

I hope this helps

they are probably not used to CO2 as well and more oxygen, try decreasing CO2 and increasing O2
but what do I know?
