For the first time this morning they were all up front and centre as soon as they saw me, begging for food.

Ho ho ho. He sure is.
They've taken to my homemade seafood mix, but have yet to get a taste for FBW, strangely. If I throw in a block they will pick at it a little but it's mostly still there at the end of the day and I siphon it out. No problem though, I have plenty of other choices on the menu. They seem to like frozen baby brine shrimp.

Looking good Tony! Just lay out a menu in front of them and let them pick. Mine are still very finicy come meal time.

They are into real hungry mode now- fighting in a frenzy when the food comes!
Also, the smallest received what appears to be a scraping injury around the time they arrived. It can be seen in the last pic- seems to be affecting it a little- dark coloured most of the time, and fins slightly clamped although you wouldn't think from this pic.

I'm glad to hear that they are feeding well Tony. Mine are still pretty finiky. I hope they snap out of that soon.
Do you think the scrape mark will heal on that small discus?

They look good!:):)
You might want to add a little salt to the tank for the scrape at 2 tblsp / 10 gal (or even a bit more:)) Keep an eye on it, it should heal up

Hey, Tony, how's your lil guy with the scratch doin'?

The abrasion is not very noticeable now, and it was doing really well, but it's not looking the best yesterday and today.
I've got them in with a few small cobalts that are less than half their size, and this morning a couple of the cobalts are "picking" at it. Not bullying, but feeding off it and it is quite black. I think I will do some separating this afternoon.

After some very large water changes over the past two days, the problem has disappeared and all are happy again.
I cant even pick out the one that had the scrape and was off-colour.

Hi Tony. It's good to hear that the injury has healed. Seems like water changes can fix just about anything? I notice that my fish are very active after a water change. Hope all is going well.

Glad to hear, Tony. You're right, Joe, about the power of a WC. Even with the problems I was going through earlier, when the fish were swimming they would come and play in the water stream of the water coming in during a water change. It was the funniest thing to watch.

I'm glad too, the little guy healed up.
The fish are looking great, again getting big and more colorful all the time, with huge appetites !
Looks like your doing a fantastic job.
Thanks for the pics and updates, you guy's are making this so much fun to watch.
