I got a really nice bag/purse ( for my trip to Liz's in Feb;) ) from Bath and Body and I was in there once and they were all gone:(....but I got one!!!....along with oodles of lotions, Moonlight Path, and Sea Island Cotton....I think was the name! Love it:)

I got dragonflys, Starbucks gift cards, and Blockbuster movie card, flowers, See's Candy, and a bunch of little things!!

Christmas was very good to me, I got a lot of things for my first love and that is fishing. I recieved some cold weather gear for ice fishing as well as gift cards to Cabelas for more ice fishing things. Will be out tomarrow morning on the hard water doing what I love to do. Nothing for my discus but thats ok, I wil be out enjoying my first love.

yes she did lay on the bottom,bcz male was ignoring her(being busy with the fry),so like any 'wise 'female she laid them under him i guess for his convenience:)

This year l recieved my best ever christmas presant.......my very first grand child. Her name is Isabella Louise. and she weighed 8lb 4oz. My wife and l flew to Townsville where my daughter lives, and she was born the next morning(good timing or what).
She will always be my best ever gift.

Scott, we have similar first loves. Mine is salt water fishing, in particular heavy tackle marlin fishing. Maybe we can have a chat on another thread?

I had a nice Christmas here too-Only discus related gift was a book I wanted for awhile.

I need to be thankful for the wifes patience with this new obsession of discus(she's seen it before with other fish-angels, various cichlids)But it's a bit more intense with Discus!

I got a hunk of wood....

Told family members that and they thought I was nuts... but you guys will understand. I got a XXL piece of Malaysian driftwood. Put in the tank with my wilds. They seem to really be loving it. if I ever recharge my batteries I will take a pic. It is very interesting to me how much the fish respond to its presence. Their behavior, their coloration... they seem very comfortable with it... perhaps the added tanins?

Al... new trail bike huh? We'll have to ride soon (preferably when it is a little warmer though!)

Best present of all for me though was the joy of watching Austin, my son, enjoy his gifts, especially his new Leopard Gecko!
