Rubbing on plant

Is this normal? just goes by and rubs on it first time seeing that since ive had it .. ive had it for about 9 months

Hard to say. Discus will sometimes rub "flash" or scratch against something if they have an exterior irritant. Clean water is your first defense.

he's not doing it anymore but i did just change the water... but it was just a random really quick rub did it 2 times and that was that

This can be caused by skin flukes but... If it only does it once in a while it may not be. Either way keep an eye on it and keep the water clean. Don T.

Stay on top of your water quality and you should have no problems. If it continues or becomes more frequent, you may have use a different approach.

Thanks for the help.. he seems to be fine today but ill keep an eye on it
