It is a 30 gallons tank or 2.5 feet. Running for 2 weeks with corydoras.
Now have 5 discus. All are about 3". Half the bottom is planted with coral sand. The other half is glass. Using internal filter. WC about 20% every day. Feeding twice a day on BF & pellets.
Should i put in air stone?
Any suggestion welcome.

Hey Pete...Welcome to "SD"...
I am afraid that a 30G tank will be to small for the 5 discus. They will out grow it fairly quickly.
I really see your setup going down hill rather fast. The bioload itself is gonna cause problems with your current filtration IMO. :(
If I read your post correctly, half of your tank is planted with an internal filter which makes the situation even worse.
A 55G would be a good tank for these guys.

I always have some kind of air to circulate the water and for surface agitation (oxygen). Plus, keeping a few sponge filters seeded never hurts in a pinch. :D
Yeah, your setup needs a little work and pretty soon. How did you cycle your tank? 6g a day with 6 occupants in a small tank is not good calculations especially if your tank is going through a cycle. :o
