Cost of Wild Caughts

I have noticed that the Wild Caughts cost less than the domestic bred. Why is that? A large (5~6') nice looking WCs were priced at $79 at an LFS where they had discus almost half the size (~3') priced around $60 and bigger ones almost $100. Is this normal?

Yes, that is normal. Its partly demand for the locally bred stuff over wilds and the cost of a wild is lower - cost of the person catching the fish, the middle men and air freight.

Quality wilds are usually sent to Japan. They are willing to pay 200.00 or more per fish. US gets all the leftovers.
