Bought 3 of these off eBay ($5 ea + postage).
No brand name, but said to be rated @ 225 gph @ 0 head height.
(used in live coral marine tanks for circulation)

LOL, little sucker is golf ball sized.
Power converter is at the plug in, rather than in the tank.
So, it creates no heat.
Power draw is only 5 watts.

I just tried it out.
WOW... is all I can say.
This tiny thing moves LOTS of water.
It has a tiny gate valve on the outlet.
So, you can adjust the flow rate, anyway you want.
Outlet swivels, so you can point flow anywhere you want.

It would be a snap to configure it to run any size sponge filter.
You could ever imagine.:D

Or, place 1 on the bottom of a bare 55g tank.
To circulate sinking food waste, or fecal matter.
To where a HOB, overflow, or cannister filter can suck in that crap.
