Seachem Onyx Gravel

Can I use Seachem Onyx Gravel with Discus, although there are some slight PH buffering affect, their website list it as safe for freshwater fish, but it seems its for Chilids? Try calling their support, but they are on training.

The Onyx sand is just black glass slag left over from smelting metal ores. It is widely used by sand blasters and can be bought from them at a fraction of the cost. It is discus safe. Some discus look better than others over it. The golden and solid reds do but darker varieties just get darker so their colors may not show off at their best.

Thanks, think I'll go with light grey color substrate or bb, to go with my black ground. Don't want any peppering if possible with dark backgrounds.
