ime certain lighting have diffrent looks . what do you recomind ? that really show the colors of your fish ..pics welcomed

How about more information like what strains of discus do you have, is this a BB or planted tank, what color is the background. Often folks tweak what they are doing with lights [more red, more blue, etc in the spectrum] depending on what they have in the tank.

Good colors for most color varieties of discus can be achieved with a mix of 6700K and 10,000K.

I find that low level lighting works best for discus in a low ornamental tank i.e. BB

In a planted stocked tank you may need depending on aquascape stock level heavy lighting as Apistomaster stated or a little less for artifical decor.

I agree low light shows the colors best, some times no tank lights at all low light from the ceiling the discus show their colors best.when the fish come to the front of the glass when they are hand feed.Last feeding at nite trying to get a moon light type efect.
