lost my oldest Discus

My Red Dragon,
was a damn ugly fish, more black pepper on him/her than red, went through alot, many different tanks, never showed a sign to breed only to break up to other pairs from mating. I was tempted many times to put it out in the garden, but this fish earned its tank space, came back from the dead more than once. RIP - (5+ years old) died peacfully with next of kin Blue Diamond, at his side.

Sorry to hear about your loss Tom. I too have an ugly discus survivor, going on 5 now. He's losing weight and looks like he may leave me soon. He is one of my original ones, raised him from a one incher, now he's 5.5. Covered in black pepper and has a bent gill plate, but I still think he has the best personality. It's a shame that the ones we go through so much with, they are the ones we lose first.
