I have 10- 2 inch Discus In a 80 gal tank, and I have 18 - 1 inch discus in a 33 gal tank, that I would like to clear out. I was wondering how they would all get along together in the 80 gal. tank for a month or so.they are from 2 different breedings. I just need to clear space for now.

Generally not a good recomendation, as the larger fish would be more aggressive, even with
the same strain. Also if the Discus are from two different breeders you will get a mix of different diseases.

They will get along IME. However, depending the strains it will be hard to tell which is which until they start showing coloring, straitions, etc. I would kepp them seperate until you know the strains of each but if you need to clear space then go for it. Also, remember what Cliff mentioned about being from other breeders. If these are ones you have breed then I wouldn't worry about mixing them.

They are from the same parents,(my own breeding) just a different spawn 6 weeks apart.
I just need more room for a while.

JohnThen I think it will be ok, provided the bigger fry don't get all the food :)

I agree with Paul. You know the drill, lots of food and lots of clean water daily. You should be fine.

Adding a divider may help if the larger fish are eating all the food.
