It seems that theres alot of dissatisfaction with local fish stores: they stock poor quality discus etc stunted etc


So the other option is getting 'em direct from breeders. But don't breeders wholesale to LFS's, and naturally, the LFS owners would choose the higher quality discus?

On a side note are there any breeders in Sydney, Australia, because at the moment the LFS here would be a place named "Crystal Palace Aquariums".

It seems that theres alot of dissatisfaction with local fish stores: they stock poor quality discus etc stunted etcNot every lfs you goto in Syd sells poor quality Discus, you have to shop around. Dissatisfaction comes from when you get lied too. ;)

Find out when there getting next batch in? is when you should go have a look, as thats when they are at there best! :D

But don't breeders wholesale to LFS's, and naturally, the LFS owners would choose the higher quality discus?If the lfs select high quality fish, they prob. will go broke as price would exceed that of overheads & customer satisfaction-as already prices of most stock is rediculous from 1-lfs-2 another extremely different prices. :confused:

IMO they wouldn't get people bragging how bad they can be, although 1 has to realize that, you get what you pay for. :(
