tank stands

Has anyone used those tank stands wood product put it together yourself from Walmart or any other LFS stores that carry them??

How safe are they for tanks and can they hold the weight??

Palue, I had a Wallymart stand for a 55 for years, it held up fine, water drops caused wrinkles on the surface after a while, but structurally it held up fine. I used it for 4 years, and it was used when I got it. Sold the whole setup to a guy, he liked the stand.

That is good to know, they just look like they cannot hold anything made from that wood chip board. My husband explained that usually when they rate something for like 200 lbs it can hold up to 400 lbs with this stuff. So I guess it will be fine.
