I'm in Hollywood, Fl. The problem doing a meeting in Florida is that it's so long and spread out. Our local fish club The Gold Coast Aquarium Society has Had some discus things lately. A couple of months ago we had Gage from Wattley Discus talk. Then last month we took a trip to the Wattley facility. Last week we had Marc Weiss talk on discus and next month we have Tony Silva scheduled to talk on discus. Even with all of this only a few members in the club keep discus besides me. There is even talk of doing a field trip up the coast to angelwingsusa discus.

I grew up a few blocks from Jack Wattley in Ft.Lauderdale and bred his fish 20 years ago,just recently got back into the hobby,, BTW,there's a fantastic little aquarium shop located in Ocala called "FISH-HEADS".Gary and Rose are the owners and breed Discus.I stopped by and talked to Rose awhile .They have a 125 gal. Discus display tank with the biggest Blue Diamond I ever seen.Gary breeds Discus at his home as well and by the looks of his Discus in the store he does a fantastic job at it.

Hi, I live in wesley chapel, and have tried all the shop, Marine Warehouse has them however I use to buy them there but they are so bad now I wont' get any from them. I would suggest that you get from the sponsor on here, the price isn't bad either.

Supposebly they were from Hans but I don't think so, as Hans Discus when order from here you get really nice fish. It sometime best to wait and get what you want on here for most part you will get a lot better fish, there will be times that they are not the best so be very specific in what you want.

Have been down here in Miami - Coconut Grove - for over four years now, and am FINALLY getting back into the hobby after 5-6 years off. Once I get familiar with the water chemistry here I am looking forward to finding some wilds and some geophagus orangeheads again. Man, sourcing fish was so easy up in Chicago...

Dave B - imperial tropicals carries some nice geophagus, and the shipping is free over $45. I've toured to their facility and it's great. Snookn21 out of Ft myers carries a lot of wild discus.
