Hi All
My name is Julian. I'm original from North Florida but my military duty brough me here to Hawaii. However that does not stop me , from my hobby . I'm so far is being good. I have several spawns , from Albinos, and Leopard and a cross of these two.
In a nut shell .I'm being breeding discus for about 10 years now. I would like to get together with other discus keepers here in Hawaii. and share ideas and my humble experience. And perharps we can create a Discus enthusiast group at least here in Honolulu to start. any way thats all for now , e mail me or PM and we can get in contact.
sincerely
Julian.

Just curious.....

I'll be in Hawaii until the 30th of October. Anyone have a clue where the discus hot spots are in Honolulu/Waikiki?

Thanks in advance for any info!

Hey, hey, Im here too!
Kinda new to the discus world. But long enough to have made babies, lol. Turns out they happen to be Julian's that I bought at a LFS and then now, Ive got babies...lots and lots of babies. After getting into the world a little bit more, I learned of Rod over at hawaiidiscus (on Kauai) and got some more. Im actually looking to get rid of some of my adults so I can keep the home growns at the house (so if you know of anybody on island that wants to get some PM or email me @ mac2b4mic@aol.com ).

Well...Aloha everybody!
Mike

My set up is not that big to be consider a hot spot. But you can come anytime my friend . I can show you what I got working on , also Joei, Mike Hugo, and David Tumilowicz who had some fry from Larry Knewshaw are doing a great job. Most of the old Honolulu Breeders are retired or pass. I was checking the Honolulu Aquarium Association but nothing on Discus. I was try to organize something with David and Joie with no too much luck so far.

Just at Julain's house last weekend...some really good lookin fish! (so good I left with a beaut!) lol. Julian, I really want to say thanks, you showed me a lot of little tricks that have helped me quite a bit with the speed and quality of everything.
In fact, because your fish are so nice lookin Im thinkin about getting in on kenny's march shipment (when its available). Probably just going to order one though cuz as you will see this weekend I am very limited on space! Does anybody on island you know want to dip into that shipment? or is anybody going to do an order so I can get in on theirs? I'll talk to you about it Sunday.

You will never go wrong with Kenny's. What you see is what you get. and the vitality of fish right out the bag is what always amazed me.
Any way my juvies from the Curipera X Leopard cross is almost 3 inches, They looking great very please with their shape with improved a lot. I think some of these guys have some potential. I planning to check David House this weekend . I want to see how his ALS from Larry are doing they should be around 4.5 by now.
