guys i have a question. can i put like regular bamboo on my aquarium? if now why cant i? and i have part of the bamboo out. my lid is open is there by any chance my discus jump out?

I don't think that you can grow bamboo like this (what a shame, huh?) Bamboo lives in muck. It like wet feet but it doesn't grow deeply submersed. I like bamboo, too.

Having your lid open for any reason is inviting disaster. They do jump and there is no way to know when, or what makes them jump.

Yet year after year I read at least a couple people's sad stories about finding their prized fish on the floor.

And get this........ It's usually the best ones that jump.
