Here are some pics of my 75g planted setup. It has been setup for about 2 weeks with the plants, fish for about the time I put in quotes. Underlined is where they came from. New additions were a little beat up by the two initial discus, particularly the brilliant turq, but they are all doing well now. Pics are a little small on this site but it works. The fish are all from Discus Hans! :D

Thanks im working on the aquascaping as the plants get situated so I can create some depth while leaving room for the discus to swim as they get larger.
Im debating on whether I will use the star grass to make a carpet as it does grow well for me, but I will wait to see what other carpet type plants I will get to spread.

Very nice setup and fish, I just love the Brilliant Discus, that is one strain that I would love to have at some point.

Say,that plant you have with the crinkle looking leaves what is it??

I would say it looks like some sort of a java fern but not sure.

Well the reddish crinkle plant is an apongeton of some sorts, don't remember which.
The crinkle green plant is just needle leaf java fern.

Thanks Ill give some updated pics soon.

Your water looks very clear. What kind of filtration are you using? How much/often do you change water? Thanks.

I change water 50% once a week. Filtered with a Rena filstar xp3 canister filter.
I have completely changed the tank around for the benefit of the discus.
My cobalt and red turq pair claimed the left side of the tank where they are currently raising there free swimming fry. The other three small juvenile discus have the right side(not by their choice, lol). So yes you can have discus successfully spawn in a community tank!
My fish will be stunted and not have the best shape I am sure with this schedule but it is all I can do. I will get credit for whatever I can raise to a couple inches from my LFS as I dont think I will attempt shipping if I get to that stage.
Thanks for looking I will post some updated pics in a bit.
